Activity Tips

Summer brings warmer temperatures and more hours of sunshine to be active outdoors and get fresh air. Check out how active we need to be, depending on our age: young person, adult, older adult. A few small steps we take with our family, our friends, or on our own in spring can lead to big differences in our health:

  • Walk to work.

  • Do sit-ups in front of the TV.

  • Walk during lunch hour.

  • Walk instead of driving whenever you can.

  • Take family walk after dinner.

  • Walk to your place of worship instead of driving.

  • Walk kids to school.

  • Join an exercise group.

  • Do yard work.

  • Bicycle to the store instead of driving.
